Breakfast
  • 1 little yoghurt of my own making
  • cafe au lait (whole milk, natch)
Throughout the day
  • lots of cafe au lait
Notes: It was just that kind of day. Hurricane season brings out the crazy.

Lunch
  • 1 mozz-and-tomato sandwich: two thick slices of ciabatta, about 2-3 oz fresh mozz, 2 slices tomato, some lettuce, some pesto
  • another cafe au lait
  • 1 heath bar cookie. happy now, uterus mine?
Before Crossfit
  • 2 oz swiss cheese
  • 2 squares of some weird healthy cake stuff
  • about a cup of skim milk
  • a handful of dried blueberries
Crossfit
  • Warm-up: 200 (or so - I just kept doing them) jump ropes. OMGOMGOMG YOU GUYS! I did running-step jump ropes (where you're constantly switching feet like you're running in place) for the first time ever (not counting times when I tried and couldn't make it past about 2 steps)!!!!!!! Holy shit. I am Supergirl.
  • Hero workout: 1000m row, 150 ring rows, 250 pushups, 400 squats, 1000m row. My team was me, Veronica and Martha. I think we were the last done but we were also working the hardest - I know I was the only one doing real pushups. Gave out about 2/3 of the way through the squats - the others picked up the slack and cheered me on, but I could tell Martha was kinda miffed. I really need to make sure I eat well enough, long enough before the workout. And Polly stole my Gatorade! Grrr.
Dinner
  • 1/2 c lentil soup with water to 2 c
  • 2 small slices sourdough bread with swiss cheese melted on
  • 1 little yoghurt - only one more!

  • 1/2 c lo mein
  • 1 string cheese
  • 1 c skim milk
  • 7 almonds
Lunch
  • 1/2 a tuna salad sandwich with lettuce and tomato on a croissant
  • ~2-3 oz mozz and cheddar
  • 7 grapes
  • 3 crackers and 3 pita crisps
  • I'm sure there was coffee in there somewhere
Dinner
  • 2 c lentil soup
  • 3 oz cheese
Notes: I'm pretty sure I had something between lunch and dinner, either before or at school. Coffee, for sure. Damn but that stuff they brew at the school is nasty as fuck.

Notes: Time to get serious about this shit. I'm super-fit underneath, I just need to scrape off the last bits of pudge. No more fucking chips! And I'm seriously limiting my lo mein - yes it's delicious, but no more than a measured-out 1/2 c at a time.

Time for work. Limiting myself to an 8-oz cup for my one latte; un-sweetened or -creamed tea the rest of the time.

Lunch
  • 1/2 c hummus
  • 1 c tabbouleh
  • 10 pc soft whole wheat pita
  • 8 oz cider
  • a couple swallows of coffee with milk
Later
  • 1/2 wrap with seared tuna and spinach
  • 1/2 slice apple rum raisin bread
  • 1 latte - 1 shot, whole milk, no sugar
After Crossfit
  • the rest of the wrap, with
  • 1/2 c lo mein
  • 2ish c cocoa with skim milk

  • 1 bag chips (yes yes I know)

  • 1 egg roll
  • ~1 c lo mein
Notes: Ugh. Why do I do that? I don't actually want the chips or the egg roll or what have you; I know I'm going to wish I hadn't eaten it; and yet I just go ahead and cram it in - quickly, so I don't hear all the voices telling me not to. Arglebargle.

Notes: I've really gotten off-track, and not just with diet. Exercise, schoolwork, work itself (everything besides what I actually do at the store, that is), faith...everything's kinda fallen away as I'm trying just to keep my head afloat. The problem is, the only thing that's really dragging me down is me.

This is my new-year's attempt (blessed belated Samhain, internets!) to pull everything back together. I need to start logging my food and exercise again because if I don't, I seem not to care - no record whatsoever doesn't make me feel as bad as a record of failure. I need to write up a schedule for myself, containing work, school, exercise and times that I need to devote to certain pursuits - and stick to is, because if I don't I just stumble to work and back, then stuff my face while wandering the internet. then sleep fitfully and do it all again.

Tony told me last night that I'm his muse. Not so much for poetry or flowery prose - he's not usually one for that kind of stuff. No...I'm the inspiration for all the work he's been doing to get himself set up and cemented in the adult world - working harder to finish school sooner, getting his business set up, even heeding my tearful pleas to sleep and eat a little more and not self-medicate so much. He's intentionally making himself into a better person, and more of a man, because of me.

I need to run to work so more on this later.

Notes: I drank coffee without sweetener, yay me! I am a macho macho man.

At home, before school
  • 1 oz mozz
  • 1 c brussel sprouts with mustard sauce
  • 1 c water with ACV
Dinner
  • 1/2 c brussel sprouts
  • ~1 oz whitefish
  • ~1 c lo mein
  • 4 pc tofu
  • a couple good swallows of Gatorade
